A Note From Mrs. Pierce:  I knew I wanted to be a teacher when I was in elementary school.  My favorite thing to play was ‘school’.  I always wanted to be the teacher!   Honestly, it’s the children who inspire me though.  I want to help them become the best they can be, both academically and socially.  I strive to make a positive difference in their lives.  When children  leave my room or St. Mary’s my hope for them is that they feel confident, loved and valued.  They are the reason I teach. There are many ways I believe our school stands out from other schools.  Being able to talk about God’s love at any time is a privilege and a blessing.  Our environment is nurturing, caring and loving.  The families are all so supportive and really care about their  children’s educational journey.  The staff is the best I have ever been a part of.  We are each other’s biggest fan, we have each other’s back and we truly care about each other.

Favorite School Memory: One of my favorite elementary school memories was of a student teacher I had in 6th grade.  He invited my 6th grade class to a revival at his church.  Many of us went.  Everyone just knew that this man not only cared about us as students, he cared about us as people.

Hobbies/Interests:  I am an AVID sports fan!  I love every sport but baseball is my absolute favorite.  It has been a part of my life since childhood.  My favorite teams are Texas Rangers, Thunder and OU.   I also enjoy taking walks, watching movies and going to the beach.  However, my favorite thing to do is to be with family.  That’s when I’m happiest.  We are excitedly awaiting the addition of a new baby in our family in December!
