Getting to Know Mrs. England-Burnside: I became a librarian because to me, there are few skills more important in life than not just knowing how to read but true enjoyment in reading. If I can help students learn to love reading and to love learning, there's not much more I could ask for in life. I think God picked St. Mary's for me, actually.  I'd only known it by reputation but when the librarian position became available, I saw firsthand what a lovely program it has and how I can (hopefully!) be a part of this loving community.

Favorite School Memory:  Aside from loving doing projects and playing with my friends, I remember smells: the smell of a new "Big Chief" tablet, the smell of newly sharpened pencils, fresh pink erasers, chalk dust and the clover that grew in the play yard.  I remember loving my teachers and knowing I was loved in return.

Hobbies/Interests: I love to read, to cook, to sew, to travel, to spend time with my family and friends and especially my husband.
