At St. Mary’s, we believe children grow through positive reinforcement and a creative approach to the basics. Our curriculum is centered around Language Arts & English, Reading, Science, Math, Social Studies, Music, Art, Physical Education and Spanish.
CLASSES AND CURRICULUM
Early Childhood - Preschool and Pre-Kindergarten - We offer children developmentally appropriate hands-on programs in language arts, math, science, music and programs to enhance fine and gross motor skills.
Preschool and Pre-Kindergarten classes: 8:15 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. (an “Extended Hour” is optional from 2:15 to 3:15. Click here for more information.)
Kindergarten - 8th Grade: 8:15 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.

SCORES FOR THE PAST FIVE YEARS
St. Mary’s students take the Iowa Test of Basic Skills (ITBS) test annually. This test is a nationally standardized test and accomplishes three important goals:
(1) To describe each student's developmental level within a test area.
(2) To identify a student's areas of relative strength and weakness in subject areas.
(3) To monitor year-to-year growth in the basic skills.
