Beau Geste, which translates to “a noble or gracious gesture”, began in 1988 when two inspired St. Mary’s moms created a meet, mingle and auction for parents. The event was held in the parish hall of St. Mary’s Church and cleared $5,000 – a promising surprise by the parents, faculty and staff.

Today, the parent organization continues the tradition which has grown to a 300+ person gala, held at UCO’s ballroom, and typically raises $100,000 for school needs. The funds are used for program enhancements and operating needs not covered by tuition.
